Last month I traveled to Pennsylvania where, in a wonderful
restaurant in New Hope, I had tres leches cake. It seems difficult to find the
origin of the cake, although most sources point to Latin America. My cake consisted
of sponge cake soaked in three kinds of milk: condensed, evaporated and whole.
Lastly the cake was topped with whipped cream.
