On going bald...
Yule Brynner
Mark Strong
Pablo Picasso
Like most men, I fear going bald. Lucky for me baldness does not run in the family. However, if I ever do lose my hair, I hope to lose it as well as the gentlemen above.

Martin Miller's
I love the U.K. for many different reasons: cadbury chocolates, fred perry, david bowie and gin. I have already spoken of my love of Hendricks Gin. But this week I have a new favorite, Martin Miller's. A delicious gin, distilled in England and blended in Iceland with their spring water. Slice of lime, Schwepps Tonic and Martin Miller's = perfection.

A very cool Christmas present
Yesterday a good friend gave me some of his old marine apparel. Coolest of all are his marine ribbons. The ribbons, six in all, slide onto a steel frame with four tie tacks. The top three from left to right, USMC Expedition, Good Conduct and Presidential Unit Citation.

Living Treasure
Living Treasure: Three Schools Project, published by Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry,
designed and edited by Hiroshi Sako and Fumie Sasaki, printed by Leaf ltd.
designed and edited by Hiroshi Sako and Fumie Sasaki, printed by Leaf ltd.
The book Living Treasure was given as a gift and I was very happy to recieve it. The book documents the collaboration between three collegial jewelry programs, Akademie Bildenden Kunste, Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry and Royal College of Art. From each program three students were selected to participate in the collaboration. The book profiles each student with a portrait and photographs of his or her work. It also has photographs of events and exhibitions that took place during the collaboration. Presented beautifully the cover is in rich grey, the name of each student embossed and the title standing out in gold leaf. Inside portrait photographs are in black and white while the photographs of the work are in color.
